Betty L. Stevenson (Reid), 91, of Frederick County, VA, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025, at Skyview Springs Rehab in Luray, VA.

Betty Lou was born in 1933 in Winchester, VA, daughter of the late Braxton and Ollie Foster Reid. She was a graduate of Clarke County High School and was employed at Farnly Farms in White Post, VA. Betty Lou was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Moose Club.

Her husband, Byron Stevenson, preceded her in death.

Surviving is a son, Nelson Sager (Robyn); stepson, Myron Stevenson (Angie); grandchildren, Courtney Sager and Eliza Brode; great grandchildren, Noah, Breanna, and Gabriel; half-brother, Brad Reid and many nieces and nephews.

Betty Lou is preceded in death by sisters, Edna Bunting, Mary Butler, and Frances “Pete” Carroll.

A visitation will be from 6 pm to 7 pm on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. A service will follow the visitation at 7 pm. Interment will be private.

Aunt Betty, you were always the first in line for food and the last standing at the sink to help clean up. You found out I liked using McDonald's styrofoam cups for tea and every weekend you had a sleeve of them for me. I'd say rest in peace but you'll be too busy keeping your sisters in line again.
