Betty Linton Snyder, 75, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away, Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at the Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Snyder was born in 1941, in Gerrardstown, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Clarence Linton and Erma and Max Bain. Betty was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so many. She will be forever remembered for her love of family and never knowing a stranger. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her husband of 50 years, Charles Irvin Snyder, whom she married on June 7, 1962, in Stephens City, Virginia, proceeded her in death on October 29, 2012.
Mrs. Snyder is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie Carter of Winchester, Virginia, Shirley Ricketts and her husband, Allen, of Bunker Hill, West Virginia; and her two sons, Charles I. Snyder, Jr and his wife, Joan, of Winchester, Virginia, and Ronald Snyder and his wife, Rhonda, of Winchester, Virginia, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as many extended family members and close friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, from 2:00-4:00 PM, at the Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, 11:00 AM, at the Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Mary L. Howard officiating. Interment will follow at the Little Mountain Cemetery, Frederick County, Virginia.
