Ben Joe Henley, age 64, of LaVale, Maryland, died Friday, December 10, 2004, at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Mr. Henley was born on November 1, 1940, in Choctow County, Mississippi, the son of the late Dutch Henley and Martha Jones. He was a self-employed automotive wholesaler. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had served in Korea.
Mr. Henley married Linda D. Hoffman in Oxon Hill, Maryland, in 1964.
Surviving with his wife are his mother-in-law, Vivian Hoffman of Winchester, Virginia; his step-son, Michael Orme of Florida; his grandson, Michael Brown of Florida; his brother, Don Henley of Chicago, Illinois; two brother-in-laws, Richard Hoffman and Larry Hoffman both of Winchester; three nephews, Scott, Aaron, and Kent Henley of Chicago, Illinois; a niece, Mary Troyak of Chicago, Illinois; and best friends, Pete and Fran LoBello, and Teresa DaRosa all of Fairfax, Virginia.
A sister, Tonya Jones; his stepmother, Mavis Henley; and his stepfather, Charles Jones preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Monday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Scott Henley officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends at South Chapel on Sunday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
