Barbara Susan Andrews, 67, of Winchester, Virginia, died Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Winchester Medical Center.

Ms. Andrews was born in 1948, in Amityville, New York, the daughter of the late Richard and Marilyn Andrews. She was a graduate of Loudoun Valley High School, Class of 1966 and Western Maryland College where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in social work. Barbara was employed as a social worker for many years in both Loudoun County and Clarke County. She was dedicated to her career and enjoyed assisting the elderly. Barbara will be forever remembered for her love of reading, crocheting, sewing, art history and genealogy research. She spent many years traveling throughout the world and has made countless friendships along the way. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving is her daughter, Jennifer Gyurisin and husband, Andrew, of Winchester, Virginia.

Services will be conducted at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Frederick County, Esther Boyd Animal Shelter, 161 Fort Collier Road, Winchester, Virginia 22601.
