Barbara Jean Cockrill

 

         Barbara Jean Cockrill, 64, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at her daughter’s home in Remington, Virginia.

         Ms. Cockrill was born in 1950, in Alexandria, Virginia, the daughter of the late Woodrow W. and Ruth E. Cockrill.  She was a retired nurse’s aid for Sunrise Assisted Living in Leesburg, Virginia. She enjoyed gardening and shopping at Goodwill and she was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Sister.

          Surviving is her companion, Charles “Cappie” Duncan; daughter, Kimberly Robinson and husband, Paul, of Remington, Virginia; son, Anthony Jenkins and wife, Tara, of Winchester; grandchildren, Robert, David, Allison and Austin; sisters, Phyllis Martin and husband, Bob, of Wardensville, West Virginia, Alice Shaffer and husband Charles and Cora Cockrill all of Winchester, Virginia.

         The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, prior to the service, from 6:00-7:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

         A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.  A reception will follow at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Rapidan, 1200 Sunset Lane, Culpeper, Virginia 22701
