Barbara A. Shreders
Barbara Ann Walsh Shreders, 79, of Warren County, Virginia, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, in a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Shreders was born in 1935, in Greenwich, Connecticut, the daughter of Ralph and Gertrude Mae Walsh. She was employed for 23 years at CVS Distributions Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Barbara will forever be remembered for her love of her family, her cats and of course the Dallas Cowboys. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many and will be greatly missed by all. Barbara’s family wishes to share with everyone the life lesson they will never forget her saying. “We say…See ya is for later, because goodbye is forever.”
Surviving are three daughters, Peggy Mayette of Farmington, Maine, Robin Lowman and husband, John, of Thomasville, North Carolina, Kathleen Grey and husband, Wayne, of Front Royal, Virginia; two sons, Ed Mayette of Farmington, Maine, Robert “JR” Grey and wife, Julie, of Clinton, Tennessee; and thirteen grandchildren, Ted, Chris, Jay, Katie, Zayna, Makenna, Corey, Dee, Luke, Jessica, Larry, Kevin and Mara, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, and many close friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM.
A Memorial service will be conducted on Saturday at 4:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home-Amherst Chapel, Winchester, Virginia.
