Arthur Filemon Baca, Jr.
Arthur Filemon Baca, Jr., 66, of Lake Frederick, Virginia, passed away, Tuesday, October 05, 2010 in the Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Baca was born in 1943 in Washington, D.C., the son of the late Arthur F. Baca, Sr. and Marie Ambriz Baca. He retired as a Contracting Officer with the United States Department of Agriculture. Mr. Baca was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Riverdale, Maryland. He was a member of the Winchester Elk Lodge #867, American Legion Post #21, Veterans of Foreign War, Winchester Moose Lodge #1283, and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association. Mr. Baca was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the United States Army as a SP-4.
Surviving with his wife, Virginia Bartek Baca of twenty years; are four daughters, Karen Baughman of Keller, Texas, Vicki Soto of Silver Spring, Maryland, Nicole Mellott of South Riding, Virginia, and Jennifer Handy of Linden, Virginia; and eight grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 PM on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Jim Utt officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service. A private interment will be in Culpeper National Cemetery.
