Anthony “Tony” Louise Tantillo, 69, of Winchester, VA passed away Tuesday June 10, 2025, at his home. He was born June 19, 1955, in The Bronx, New York, the son of the late Santo “Sunny” Tantillo and Yolanda “Yoli” (Zangrilli) Tantillo.
Tony was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church where he assisted in teaching RCIA for those wishing to receive the sacraments and he was employed as a Customer Service Manager with Melnor where he would eventually find himself retiring from. He received his Master’s Degree in History and his Undergraduate Degree in Teaching from St. John’s University and was an Adjunct History Professor at Lord Fairfax Community College where he was known for offering extra credit to his history students if they could recite the Green Lantern Oath. He was also a bowling champion who bowled a perfect game and loved cooking, gardening and reading Biographies. Tony was an avid New York Yankees and New York Rangers fan, and he loved his little dogs Coco and the late CJ.
He married Mary-Faith Quinn on January 6, 1980, in New York.
In addition to his wife Mary-Faith, Tony is also survived by his daughters Marianne Raia and Katie Tantillo; his son Tom Tantillo and his wife Kimberly; two grandchildren Wyatt and Colton and his many dear cousins, in laws and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Friday (June 20) from 6-8pm at the Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, 1600 Amherst St., Winchester. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday (June 21) at 9:00am at Lighthouse Full Gospel Church, 110 Conestoga Lane, Stephens City, VA 22655 with Rev. Paul Markee officiating. Interment will be private.
