Anneliese Gossler Noia
Anneliese Gossler Noia, 84, of Frederick County, Virginia, died on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, in her home.
Mrs. Noia was born in 1926, in Selbitz, Germany the daughter of the late Karl Heinrich and Johanna Gossler. She was a homemaker and of the Evangelical Lutheran faith. Mrs. Noia was devoted to her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She married Fiore “Jim” Noia on May 1, 1946, in Selbitz, Germany.
Surviving with her husband are her children, Alan J. Noia and his wife, Cynthia, of Boonsboro, Maryland, Diana N. Haines and husband, Philip C., of Winchester, Virginia, Johanna Noia Mace and husband, Stephen, of Lansdowne, Virginia; four grandchildren, Anneliese E. Haines, J. Seth Haines, Eliza M. Mace, Michael S. Mace; three sisters, Helga Ripani of Williamsburg, Virginia, Brunhilde Schrepfer of Charlottesville, Virginia, Ruth Curtis and husband, Jerry, of Waynesboro, Virginia and one brother, Karl – Heinz Gossler and wife, Ursula of Erlabrunn, Germany.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 PM on Saturday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Reverend Kenneth Patrick officiating. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
