Anna Marie Haines
Anna Marie Haines, 85, of Winchester, Virginia, died Wednesday, August 1, 2012, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Haines was born in 1927, in Frederick County, Virginia, the daughter of the late George and Georgia Hodgson. She was a homemaker and a member of Round Hill United Methodist Church.
She married Vernon D. Haines on December 14, 1947, in Frederick County, Virginia. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2004.
Surviving is her daughter, Vickie Eckman and husband, Robert, of Winchester; sons, James Riley Haines and wife, Susan, of Orland, Maine, Steven Dailey Haines and wife, Susan, of Stephens City; five grandchildren, C. Bryan Bursey and wife, Elece, Jamie Lam and husband, Todd, Erin Haines, Joshua and Jonathan Haines; three great grandchildren, Emma Grace Bursey, Jacob Bursey and Madelynn Lam and daughter-in-law, Bobbie Haines of Frederick County.
One sister, Mary Snapp and two brothers, Donald R. Hodgson and Robert S. Hodgson, preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Reverend Steve Wells and Reverend Anthony Wadsworth officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
