Andrew Lee Gwinn, 75 of Winchester, VA passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 peacefully at his home.
Andrew was born in 1946 in Baltimore, MD to the late Andrew and Evelyn Baylis Gwinn. Andrew served his country as a medic in the United States Air Force, Stonewall Jackson Chapter, during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Mount Hebron Lutheran Church on Carpers Pike, Yellow Springs, WV. Andrew was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the VFW. He was a former member of Hoppers Auto Club where he spent time enjoying his love of older model cars. Chipper was an avid fisherman, who along with his canine companion Spider, would enjoy fishing together. He had lots of friends and was anonymously generous. Chipper’s favorite place was up on the river at Capon Lake Inn.
Surviving is Andrew’s sister, Evelyn Susana Altman and two nieces, Pauline Day and Stuart Armel.
Andrew is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dale Ellen Gwinn.
A private graveside service will be held at 12pm, Friday, July 30, 2021 at Mount Hebron Lutheran Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Vernon Bray.
