Andrew “Jack” Fitts, formerly of Jonesville, VA, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at his daughter’s home in Inwood, WV.

Born on January 20, 1934, in Lee County, VA to the late John and Mary (Allen) Fitts.

He was preceded in death by his 7 siblings, Gladys Cody, Vivian Moore, Verda Edwards, Marie Carter, Ransom Fitts, Alice Fitts and Elizabeth Cody.

Jack enjoyed having his own construction business and spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger and those who met him enjoyed being around him. Jack and his wife Janet were the foundation that kept the family together.

Jack is survived by his wife of 66 years, Janet “Tinkie” Fitts; his daughters, Janet “Jill” Wright (James) of Inwood, WV, Nona Payne (Rick) of Charles Town, WV; son, Jack Phillips (Anna) of Dickerson, MD and their son, Jackie; 2 grandchildren, Melissa Wiles and Dennis “DJ” Painter; great-grandchildren, Janet Frye (Jason), A.J. Fitts and Nona Smith. He is also survived by a very special great-grandson, Jayden Slevin; sister, Louise Dunn of Greenville, TN and 3 nieces, Charlotte Grove, Alice Cody and Nina Phillips.

The family would like to thank Irene McGuinn for all that she has done.
