Alice Ann Pingley Neff, 65, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Monday, January 26, 2015, at her home.
Mrs. Neff was born in 1949, in Winchester, the daughter of the late Linden and Rose Pingley. She was employed as a Banker and a member of the church family of Riverton United Methodist Church in Front Royal, Virginia. Alice also participated for years with the Red Hatters Society. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so many. She will be forever remembered for her love of gardening, the ocean and her beloved pets.
She married John Wayne Neff, Sr., on June 12, 1987, in Middletown, Virginia.
Surviving with her husband are daughters, Christina Deck and husband, Jay, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Dannielle Ames and husband, Jerome, of Stephens City; step-daughter Tonya Redmond and husband, John, of Stephens City; step-sons, John Neff, Jr. and wife, Michelle; Joseph Neff and wife, Kim, all of Stephens City; 11 grandchildren; one cousin, Harry Pingley and his wife, Mary Elizabeth, of Winchester, Virginia, as well as many nieces nephews and extended family and many close friends.
One grandson, Joshua Robert Michael Pipes and one brother, Linden Pingley, Jr., preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Randy Orndorff officiating assisted by Chip Crawford.
Interment will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Frederick County, Virginia.
